With the variety of fuels produced by the many refineries, the methods of refining and blending used and the new low sulphur requirements dictated by the Clean Air Act, the need for good fuel additives is greater then ever. Blending is used to maximize petroleum yields but often results in an unstable products. Lower sulphur requirements are intended to reduce noxious emissions but also reduces fuel lubricity which can cause damage to engine components. Technol 403 is designed to overcome these problems and does even more. Scientifically formulated, Technol 403 contains a cetane improver, detergents, lubricants, combustion improvers, fuel stabilizers, corrosion inhibitors and a strong demulsifier.

Economical: Technol 403 is economical to use...costing as little as 3 cents per gallon, it turns low grade diesel into a premium grade.

• Cetane Improver: Can improve cetane by up to 6 numbers. This is particularly important if the fuel being treated meets only the minimum standards for diesel fuel. Fuels with higher cetane ignite sooner and produce a low rate of pressure rise and low peak cylinder pressures resulting in smoother performance, reduced engine wear, reduced engine knock and reduced exhaust emissions, especially smoke and carbon emissions. At slow engine speeds, engine misfire is reduced or eliminated. Increasing cetane also results in overall improvement in engine performance and increased fuel efficiency and will reduce or eliminate carbon build up on injector nozzles and prevent further carbon formation.
• Increased Fuel Lubricity: With the introduction of lower sulphur fuel, engine manufacturers have reported accelerated damage to and leakage in fuel injection pumps and other components of the fuel system due to reduced fuel lubricity. Technol 403 increases fuel lubricity by up to 12 1/2% (BOCLE Test) protecting these expensive components from the effects of the low sulphur fuels.
• Controls Water: Algae requires water in its environment in order to flourish. Technol 403 controls waters' harmful effects in two ways: 1. Provides solvents that dissolve water up to 200 ppm (parts per million) 2. For water over 200 ppm, provides powerful demulsifies that reject any excess water to the tank bottom for removal.
• Disperses Sludge: Technol 403 has the ability to disperse and eliminate dirt and sludge, a byproduct of algae growth--a biocide cannot do this, and Technol 403 is not a hazardous material.
• Decreases Exhaust Smoke: The ingredients in Technol 403 reduce exhaust smoke in two ways. The cetane improver results in cleaner injectors, pumps & fuel lines which improves burning and contributes to reduced smoke. The ingredients that disperse water and sludge also help to reduce the amount of exhaust smoke, The result is a noticeable reduction or elimination of grimy deposits on transoms and unpleasant orders while underway.
